17 The EBRAINS Community is being built on a set of values supporting an interdisciplinary and collaborative culture. The vision we strive for is an inclusive community with the following key values:

19 * **Open and Inclusive**. Diversity and multi-actor engagement are key to the collaborative environment of EBRAINS and to the ability to live up to the other values. EBRAINS Community is for anyone wanting to take part.
20 * **Collaborative**. The EBRAINS Community should by its culture and activities support wide collaboration in and beyond the scientific communities.
21 * **Member driven**. The needs of the community should become a driver for further development of the EBRAINS Community.
22 * **Self-organising**. The EBRAINS Community should be based on self-interest and self-organisation in subcommunities and activities.
23 * **For the benefit of society**. The EBRAINS Community should strive for supporting excellence in science, and for exploitation of results to the benefit of society and the single citizen.
