QuickNII installation

Conditions of use: QuickNII is developed by the Neural Systems Laboratory, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Oslo, Norway, with support from the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement no. 604102 (HumanBrain Project) and no.650003 (HBP FPA).

System requirements

Microsoft Windows: 64-bit operating system, Windows 7 or later

Apple macOS: OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or later

3 gigabytes RAM

Display resolution minimum 1440 pixels wide and minimum 650 pixels high.

Both Windows and Mac versions are available. Each version has a specific reference atlas embedded.

Reference atlases currently incorporated:

  • Allen Mouse Brain Atlas (CCFv3, 2015 and 2017)
  • Waxholm Space Atlas of the Sprague Dawley rat brain (v2 and v3).

No installation required. On Windows, unzip the archive to your local hard drive and launch QuickNII.exe. On MacOS, open the disk image (.dmg) and drag the QuickNII app into your Applications folder.

VisuAlign installation

Condition of use: VisuAlign is developed by the Neural Systems Laboratory, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Oslo, Norway, with support from the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement No. 650003 (HBP FPA).

System requirements

No installation required. Unzip the archive to your local hard drive and launch VisuAlign.bat.
